Q: Do you recycle?
A: Yes, recycling bins are located by the dumpsters.

Q: Do you have bike racks?
A: Yes, we have three bike racks onsite.

Q: How many pets may I have?
A: 2 pet per unit. No aggressive breeds allowed (must be 1 year or older).

Q: Are there any deposits, special fees, or monthly charges to have a pet?
A: We require a $300.00 deposit and $150.00 of that is non-refundable. No pet rent is required.

Q: Do we need to change our a/c filters?
A: Our professional maintenance technician will change your air conditioner filters every two months.

Q: What utilities are included in my lease?
A:Trash, internet, and cable.

Q: How long is the term of the lease?
A: We currently offer a wide range of lease options.

Q: If something needs to be repaired in my apartment, how do I report it?
A: By calling our 24 maintenance hotline or by going to duvalvillasapartments.com you can click on " Renters" and send your request via e-mail: Click Here.

Q: What day of the month am I liable for a late charge?
A: Late charges will be applied on the 4th of the month if rent is not paid in full.

Q: Can I pay my rent on-line?
A: Yes. Click the "Renters" tab at the top of our website and click on the "Pay Rent" button.

Q: Is there a place where I can pay my rent after office hours?
A: In the night drop box located at the leasing office.

Q: There is a person who might be staying with me for a while, is that permitted by the lease?
A: A guest can stay up to seven consecutive days. A guest staying longer needs to be approved by management.

Q: Do you have reserved parking?
A: Each apartment gets one free assigned covered parking spot.

Q: Do I have to have renter’s insurance before I move-in?
A: Although it’s not mandatory, we certainly recommend it! Renter’s insurance policies are very affordable on average. If you need help selecting a provider, just let us know we’re happy to help!

Q: Will you accept my delivery packages for me?
A: If an attempt to deliver is made to your home and you are not there, the carrier can leave it at the leasing office and the package can be picked up during office hours.

Q: Will I need a guarantor up front to help guarantee I am financially protected since most students don’t have established credit yet?
A: Yes, it is standard procedure to have a guarantor sign a document as part of your application to rent process.

Q: How do I pay my rent and when is it due?
A: Rent is due the first day of each month. You may pay by check, money order, cashiers check, or with credit card through this website.

Q: What if I need Maintenance in my bedroom or apartment?
A: Non-emergency service requests can be submitted in any of the following ways: 1) stop by the Leasing Office and our staff will complete a service request form;
2) Send your maintenance request to the apartment community through our website. Please be as specific as possible regarding the location and actual problem. Click here to enter your service request. For after hour emergencies please call leasing office at 512-451-2343.

Q: What appliances are provided?
A: Our apartments come fully equipped with refrigerators, range, dishwasher, and disposal.

Q: Will a queen or king bed fit?
A: All of the bedrooms at Duval Villas have been designed to fit a Queen Size bed comfortably.

Q: How close are you to campus?
A: Duval Villas is 16 blocks north of the UT Austin Campus.

Q: Is there alternate transportation to and from the university?
A: Duval Villas is on the UT bus route #7.

Q: Are there emergency services near by? (Hospitals, police dept., etc)
A: Brackenridge Hospital is 6 blocks East of Duval Villas. This is the County hospital with a top notch Trauma Unit. St. David’s Hospital is located on 32nd Street, 11 blocks Northeast of Duval Villas.

Q: Do I need to reserve a move in date and time? What happens if I miss my scheduled time?
A: Yes, you will need to schedule a move in date and time. If you miss your scheduled move in date and time, we will do our best to try to accommodate you in rescheduling however; our move-in dates and appointments will be booked with little room for rescheduling. We ask that you bare with us if circumstances should change.

Q: Can furniture, packages, etc. be delivered before getting keys?
A: No. Unfortunately, we are only able to accept packages after official moving day.

Q: What if I need special accommodations?
A: Please indicate the nature of the condition on the application. Attach any information to the application that will be helpful to us in planning for your arrival.
